It's Abigail, I'm here to let everyone in on some Emerald Promise History... the short version. I wanted to start a business since I was 12, and finally started brainstorming and getting serious in 2021. Emerald Promise LLC was born on May 26th of that year.
I had a lot of bad ideas and mindsets that the Lord had to work out of me. I was performance-driven and wanted to be rich. Within 5 years, God has made radical changes in my heart. I no longer desire the things that drove me in the past, and now I just want to give.
The LLC didn't do well, and I'm glad for my own heart that it didn't. I shut the LLC down on December 22, 2025. Now I'm excited for Emerald Promise again because it's not about the money. I can give through this platform. This is not a business, not a non-profit, it's not anything official. It's just an avenue for me to share. It's a creative outlet. When I spend time with the Lord, I get ideas. Ideas are frequently floating around in my head, and I don't want to keep them to myself. Jesus says, "Freely you have received, freely give." So I will give freely to whoever finds these things as blessings.
In the future, I do plan to have a for-profit business, but that will come in God's timing and in His way. For now, I won't worry about tomorrow; focus on my tasks today. My task is to draw closer to Jesus and learn what He is asking me to put my hand to. I don't have to worry about perfection; I can focus on the only One who is perfect.
